Tales from The Gutter

In 2022, my friend and I became co-commissioners of a bowling league at a Lower East Side Manhattan bowling alley called The Gutter. We had neither experience or any business running a bowling league, but we seized the opportunity once we learned commissioners got to drink and bowl for free for the whole season.

The first two weeks went poorly from an organization perspective and some bowlers began to send angry emails to the management of the bowling alley while CCing all of the team captains.

Naturally, I decided to begin to share all of the angry emails on my private Instagram story. Little did I know when I made that first post, this would turn into a 200 day saga featuring mutiny, identity theft, the NYPD, drug dealing, and a beloved Netflix reality show.
